Top 8 Bathroom Tile Trends of 2022

Add aesthetic and beauty to your bathroom with beautiful tile trends and ideas of 2022. We have curated a list of bathroom tile trends you can incorporate in your bathroom and make it stand out.

Mix Different Tiles

Tiles are available in different shapes and sizes. You can mix and match hexagon tiles, bubbles, Moroccan cross, small scales and bricks, mod mosaics, subway, Moroccan fish scales, craftsman squares, penny rounds, bullnose, and more. You can have subway tiles for bathroom splashback, large tiles or hexagon tiles for floors, Moroccan fish scale tiles, or zellige tiles for shower. There are so many possible tiles combinations you can go for your bathroom.

Colourful Checkerboard

Instead of choosing a black and white chessboard design for your bathroom, try the new trend of having colourful checkerboards. Combine two complementary colours or contrasting colours and see your bathroom pop up.

Alternate Tiles Directions

Don’t follow a straight line when you can make a beautiful pattern. For example, if you choose subway tiles, then you can change their directions to add more patterns. Keep some tiles horizontally and some vertically. This will create a unique pattern in your bathroom.

Have an Accent Wall

If you don’t want to do much with your bathroom tiling, having an accent wall will have a huge impact on your bathroom design.

Compliment Tiles with Furniture

You can choose the same colour scheme for tiles and furniture. For example, if you choose navy blue for your tiles, then you can paint your furniture navy blue. Complimenting colours will add a beautiful palette to your bathroom.

Half and Half

By half and half, we mean to divide your bathroom walls into 2 sections. The top section can have designer tiles, and the bottom section can have solid colour tiles. Remember, both the sections should have complimentary colours. If the top section has green leafy design tiles, then the bottom section can have plain green tiles or green zellige tiles.

Same Colour Different Patterns & Textures

Another good way of incorporating tiles in your bathroom is to add different patterns and textured bathroom tiles. You are free to go for any type of bathroom tiles, but stick with one colour for all textures, designs, and patterns.

Create Random Patterns

A non-repetitive pattern will add pop style to your bathroom design. Choose pattern tiles and place them randomly. Most people will keep the design of the tiles as it is and not go beyond. This will give you an edge for your bathroom.
